Pilates and Pregnancy

Pilates offers a safe and excellent form of exercise for post natal women (and seniors). Pilates is particularly efficient at restoring and rejuvenating your body and strengthening your 'core' post pregnancy, thereby regaining previous (and also improving) muscle tone and well being. It is recommended that you return to Pilates 6 weeks after delivery (post 6 weeks doctors check) or 12 weeks after a caesarian section.

Please ensure that you book into a beginner/Intermediate level class if you are post natal, regardless of previous Pilates experience. Please also ensure that you arrive 10 minutes early before your first lesson in order to fill in all the relevant paperwork and to have a chat with the instructor. Please also ensure that you fully discuss any relevant details regarding your pregnancy, birth and the post partum condition of your body.
